Atlantic Forest

We plant in the cleared forests of the Atlantic Forest

The Atlantic Forest is a biome found in Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina and is categorized as one of the most threatened ecosystems on planet Earth. It is also one of the sites with the greatest biodiversity in the world.

Since the early 1900s, deforestation has taken away much of the ecological and cultural diversity of these sites.

We develop a model of Regenerative Agriculture based on the Reforestation of cleared sites
(like this)

Strategic ally:

At ReforestArg we have joined forces with Reserva Dejavú to develop a new model of agriculture based on the generation of cleared forests through reforestation with native trees among the crops of Yerba Mate (also a native tree).

Together we are carrying out the restoration of peasant communities, the recovery of the Atlantic Forest and the proposal of regenerative agriculture.

We develop an economy based on forest regeneration

The consequences of indiscriminate logging and the replacement of forests by unregulated monoculture production include the loss of soil fertility, contamination by agrochemicals, a decrease in biodiversity and the exodus of rural communities.

In the last 10 years, the lack of land and jobs has forced more than 900,000 people out of the countryside in Paraguay. More than 585,000 of them are under 30 years old and are destined for the marginal areas of Asunción or other countries such as Argentina.

That is why ReforestArg, together with Reserva Dejavú, proposes an economic model based on the regeneration of cleared forests and local communities.
